Substitute Teacher for the A Show of Hands by Ohio Designer Craftsmen, Assistant Manager at a
retail gallery that represents the work of over 300 local and national artists
and craftsmen. Responsibilities include
working directly with artists concerning custom work and orders, submitting
press release and advertising information to local publications, directing
displays of new bodies of work, and general sales floor maintenance. The position demands a strong sense of
aesthetic and design, knowledge of a variety of artistic technique, and an
ability to work closely with our clientele.
Day Care Counselor, Blue Ash YMCA, Worked with
children, ages 5-10, as a counselor in the before- and after-school program;
activities included games, arts and crafts, and tutoring. Adventure Worked as a camp
counselor for children, ages 11-13; directed activities such as arts and
crafts, hiking and sports and additionally helped to plan and direct weekly
off-site camping trips. Professional Art Experience: The Myths of Sanity, The Mockbee, The Carnegie Galleries Solo Exhibit, The Carnegie, The Secret Lives of
Salesgirls, A Show of Hands, Emerging, UC Health Sciences Library, Hodge Podge: A Jumbled Mixture, SSNova Gallery, Under My Skin, The Attic Gallery, Related Skills: Have experience in
hand-built and wheel-thrown ceramics, intaglio printmaking, foundry,
woodworking, painting, loom weaving, fiber arts, drawing and creative writing. |
